10 Business Schools in the Philippines You Should Consider

Business Administration is a college course designed to equip students with extensive knowledge of business operations. The program provides students with a clear understanding of the different facets of business such as finance, marketing, operations, office management, and human resources.

Throughout the years, a business degree remains to be one of the most in demand programs in the Philippines. Business Administration graduates have wide job opportunities in the corporate world. A lot of BS BA graduates end up in marketing, business development, sales, management, or accounting. It’s also common for people to take an MBA to further beef up their CV and pursue teaching or a career with multinational companies.

If you are interested in these industries, here are some business schools in the Philippines you might want to check out:

Ateneo de Manila University

The university’s John Gokongwei School of Management offers degrees in Management and Management Engineering, as well as majors in Management of Applied Chemistry, Communications Technology Management, and Legal Management . JGSOM students have won awards in various competitions such as HSBC Case Competition, Global Social Entrepreneurship Awards (GSEA) regionals, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute Research Challenge in the Philippines and in the Asia-Pacific Regional Finals, and 2016 L’Oreal Brandstorm Competition.

Students can further their education through the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. The graduate school has been awarded by the Commission on Higher Education with a Full Autonomy status and was rated by CHED as the number one out of 199 business schools in the country.

De La Salle University

The Ramon V. Del Rosario College of Business in DLSU offers undergraduate programs in the fields of Entrepreneurship, Accountancy, Advertising, Business Management, Legal Management, Marketing, and Finance. The college has received a Level 3 accreditation from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). Adding to its outstanding portfolio is the university’s long list of alumni who became some of the big names in the business industry such as Eduardo Cojuangco Jr. and Ramon Del Rosario Sr.

University of the Philippines – Diliman

UP Diliman’s Cesar EA Virata School of Business was founded in 1916 and is one of the first institutions in the country to offer programs in commerce. The school has undergraduate courses in Business Administration and Business Administration and Accountancy while its graduate programs include Finance and an MBA and PhD in Business Administration. Aside from its business school, UP Diliman also has the Institute for Small-Scale Industries. The institute provides trainings geared towards the development and growth of the small scale industrial sector in the Philippines.

University of San Carlos

University of San Carlos’ Department of Business Administration offers courses in the field of entrepreneurship, marketing, human resource development management, finance, and executive resource management. USC takes pride in its state-of-the-art facilities including the Service Operations Business Laboratory Room (SERV-LAB), Manufacturing Operations Business Laboratory Room (MAN-LAB), and Boardroom and Office Simulation Laboratory. Another noteworthy achievement of USC is its Center of Excellence in Entrepreneurship, Business Administration and Office Administration by CHED.

Asian Institute of Management

The Asian Institute of Management was established in partnership with the Harvard Business School and it specializes in MA business programs. Students can choose to take the school’s degree and non-degree programs and take courses in Business Administration, Data Science, Entrepreneurship, or Developmental Management. AIM is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), an international organization that provides business education intelligence and professional development services to different business organizations worldwide.

Lyceum of the Philippines University

LPU’s College of Business and Accountancy offers degree programs in BS Customs Administration, Business Administration (Major in Business Management, Management Accounting, Marketing Management, and Operations Management), and Accountancy. The college also has a Level III accreditation from PACUCOA and because of LPU-CBA’s long standing performance, it was also recognized by CHED as a Center of Excellence for its Business Administration programs.

University of Visayas

Founded in 1919, University of Visayas holds a recognition from CHED as a Center of Excellence for its College of Business Administration. The college offers majors in Business Economics, Financial Management, Marketing, and Operations Management.

Technological Institute of the Philippines

TIP’s College of Business and Accountancy is one of the leading business schools in the country, being awarded as a Center of Development by CHED for its program in Business Administration. The college offers courses in Accounting Technology, Entrepreneurship, Financial Management, Human Resource Development, Logistics Management, and Marketing Management. All of TIP’s academic offerings are also ISO 9001:2015 certified.

University of Batangas

The University of Batangas’ College of Business and Accountancy offers bachelor’s degree courses in Accountancy, Business Administration, and Office Administration. The BSBA program is in partnership with Australian Skills Institute (ASI) under Dual Diploma Program. Furthermore, the university was recognized by the Commission on Higher Education as a Center of Development and was also recognized as a Higher Education Institution (HEI) for Business Analytics.

Centro Escolar University

The School of Accountancy and Management of Centro Escolar University provides programs in the fields of accountancy, legal management, and business administration. The school has a mock bank and conference room that allow students to do practical applications from their course. Since its establishment, CEU continues to uphold academic excellence by producing accountancy board passers and successful alumni. The school has also been conferred a Center of Development in Business Administration by CHED.
