About the Scholarship

The MDFI grants scholarships to deserving but financially challenged pharmacy students whose school is a member of the Philippine Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (PACOP). The foundation also grants scholarships to the dependents of soldiers who are in active service, killed in action, incapacitated or died in the line of duty. The MDFI recognizes graduating senior high school students who excel in STEM fields. This recognition aims to motivate the students to pursue their careers in these fields; and in turn, be able to contribute to the country’s future growth and development.

Mercury Drug Foundation Inc. covers the tuition, miscellaneous fees, food, and transportation expenses and offers employment from the Mercury Drug after graduation.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strictly for Filipinos only
  • Open to enrolled college students only
  • Any gender
  • For any marital status
  • Grade Requirement: At least 2.50

Eligibility Requirements

  • Eligible to apply are incoming third and fourth-year Pharmacy students with a general weighted average of 2.5 and above
  • Of good moral character, single and not more than 21 years old
  • Not on any other scholarship or educational plan
  • With a combined family income of not more than P250,000 or less per year
  • And not a dependent of an employee of Mercury Drug Corporation, Mercury Group of Companies or its subsidiaries.
  • Dependents of soldiers who are in active service, killed in action, or incapacitated.
  • Must be at least two years of studies in Pharmacy
  • Willing to transfer to schools that are members of the Philippine Association of Colleges of Pharmacy
