Asian College was established in 1972 by Dr. Constancio A. Sia and his wife, Gloria Durano-Sia as the Asian Institute of Electronics (AIE). AIE branched out in other parts of the Philippines and in 1995, the by then, Department of Education, Culture, and Sports granted it accredited as a full-pledge college institution changing its name into Asian College of Science and Technology (ACSAT). From its initial course offerings, ACSAT added new programs aside from technology and by 2012, it was renamed as the Asian College.
Asian College has another branch in
Dumaguete City. The school offers courses under its 3 colleges:
Business Management, Computer Studies, and Tourism and Hospitality Management. Its
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-accredited programs include modular and short courses. It also has a senior high school program with
Technical-Vocational and Livelihood, Academic, and Arts and Design Tracks.
