Asian Institute of Distance Education (AIDE) is the first school in the Philippines that offers distance education. Established in 1984, as a project of Filipinas Foundation. Distance Education is part of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) for students experiencing difficulties in attending regular classes. The students have the freedom to learn and understand the modules at their own pace.
The Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) recognized the three baccalaureate programs offered by AIDE– BA in English, BA in Political Science and BS in Business Administration major in Management. The school has specially designed materials and CHEd-evaluated modules to guarantee that the students will receive a high-quality education. In addition, AIDE accepts foreign students.
To make education more accessible to aspiring students, AIDE has partnered with various schools and universities. Several agreements have already been signed in different parts of the country including Region I, II, III, and IV.
