Biblical Seminary of the Philippines (BSOP) was established on June 15, 1957 as the Bible Institute of the Philippines (BIOP) located in Karuhatan Road, Valenzuela, Metro Manila. It was formerly known as Bible Institute of the Philippines and was renamed in 1975 with its present name, Biblical Seminary of the Philippines. The BSOP provides holistic and quality theological education and envisions disciple-making servant leaders building up the Body of Christ in Asia. In 1992, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recognized and accredited BSOP as a graduate institution granting the Master of Divinity degree. 2 years after, Asian Theological Association (ATA) accredited BSOP as a graduate institution granting the Master of Divinity degree. BSOP became a member of the Asian Graduate School of Theology (AGST), a consortium of seven seminaries in Metro Manila.
