Cagayan State University – Aparri (CSU - Aparri) initially emerged as the Aparri School of Fisheries in 1952 by virtue of Republic Act 685. It was established in a 42-hectare lot located in Barangay Maura, Aparri. After then-President Ferdinand Marcos signed the Charter of the Cagayan State University (P.D. No. 1436), the school was consolidated into the
Cagayan State University (CSU) system along with other existing higher education institutions and was transformed into a satellite campus of the university.
CSU – Aparri offers a wide range of programs across its six (6) undergraduate colleges. The university’s flagship program, Bachelor of Science in
Fisheries, has already attained
Level II accreditation from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP). In 2017, seven (7) undergraduate programs were granted Level I accreditation status. CSU - Aparri also offers graduate and postgraduate degree programs – the latter of which are also candidates for accreditation by the AACCUP.
