Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM) is a medical learning institution in Cebu City. It was founded in 1957 as the Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT) College of Medicine. In 1966, the school became the Cebu Institute of Medicine upon independence from CIT and affiliating with the newly established Velez College. Since then, it has seen more than 5000 students graduate from the school and achieve their dreams to become doctors, both here in the Philippines and abroad.

CIM is one of the leading schools offering programs in medicine outside Metro Manila. It has been producing well-performing students as reflected in the Physician Licensure Examination results. In 2007 and 2008, the institute was the only medical school with more than 50 examinees who garnered a 100% passing rate. In addition to successful performance in the board exams, Cebu Institute of Medicine manifests excellence through its researches. It has established the Clinical Epidemiology Unit, a system focused on the advancement of medical practice through research. CIM also has done coordinated researches with various prestigious universities, like Cornell University, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Washington University School of Medicine, UP Institute of Public Health, UP – PGH Research Institute of Tropical Medicine, and the University of San Carlos.
