What we look for
At Hult, we want to understand who you are and what drives you. We’re looking for students who will make an impact, not just in business, but in the world — students who demonstrate academic achievement, passion, curiosity, leadership potential and drive. With that in mind, we take a comprehensive approach to reviewing all information submitted with every application.
To complete your application, you will need to provide:
- $75 USD application fee: Your non-refundable application fee is payable in your online application.
- Official school transcripts: You’ll need to provide proof of your academic achievements by submitting your official school transcripts. If you’re still in school and haven’t yet completed your final grades, you should submit your most recent transcript. If your school transcript is not in English, you will need to submit both the original and a version that’s been translated into English by an officially certified translator.
- One academic reference: Your academic reference should be a teacher or counselor who knows you well as a student and is able to attest to your academic, personal, and leadership potential. We cannot accept references from your family members or friends. When you fill out your application, you will be asked to submit the contact information for your reference, and our Admissions Committee will send them a short online reference form to fill out. If you have a letter from a reference already prepared, you can submit that letter in a non-editable document format provided it’s on an official letterhead and signed.
- A Personal Statement as an essay (400-500 words) or short video (2-5 minutes): Your personal statement is the best way for you to tell us about yourself—it helps us get to know who you are and what drives you. It’s your choice whether you’d like to submit your Personal Statement as an essay or a video. As a guide, your personal statement should be reflective of who you are and what drives you, provide concrete examples of your achievements, and showcase what differentiates you from other applicants. The Personal Statement you submit must be your own original work—plagarized Personal Statements will not be accepted and may be grounds for rejection.
- SAT / ACT scores (optional): Hult is a test-optional school, meaning we do not require you to submit SAT or ACT scores. If you do submit your SAT or ACT scores they will be evaluated as part of your application. We encourage you to submit your SAT or ACT scores if they will provide us with an accurate insight into your abilities as a student. But if you don’t submit them, you will not be penalized and we will evaluate your application on the other information you provide.
- Evidence of English proficiency: If English is not your native language, you will be required to provide evidence of your English proficiency by submitting your TOEFL or IELTS test results. If you are applying to study on our London campus in the U.K. and require a visa, it’s important that you take the IELTS for UKVI Academic test to satisfy the UKVI visa requirements. The minimum requirements are: TOEFL of 80 or higher, and IELTs 6.0 or higher. A list of approved test centers and dates can be found here.

We have years of experience helping students from around the world to secure a visa to study in the country of their choice, and our dedicated Visa Team will help you every step of the way. That said, applicants who will require a U.K. or U.S. visa to study at Hult should apply and confirm as early as possible to allow ample time for the visa process. The required documents, timeline and application process will vary from country to country, so we encourage you to start the process as soon as you know you want to study at Hult.
Early Decision applicants
If you have decided that Hult is your first choice, we encourage you to apply under our Early Decision program. Submitting an Early Decision application helps you stand out from the crowd—it indicates to us your seriousness and enthusiasm about attending Hult. It also helps you put the stress of college applications behind you so that you can focus on your studies for the remainder of your final year of high school. You may apply via Early Decision to only one institution at a time, and by submitting an Early Decision application, you agree if you are accepted that you will confirm your place at Hult by January 15 and withdraw any pending applications to other institutions.
Scholarship deadlines
Hult offers a number of merit-based scholarships, and many of these scholarships have their own application deadlines. We encourage you to learn more about
our scholarships to ensure that you understand when applications for scholarships are due.
