If an international or Belgian student's secondary-school diploma is obtained outside Belgium, KU Leuven may still grant admission to a bachelor's programme if the diploma grants access to similar university studies in one’s home country. These candidates also need to apply via Admissions. Additionally they need to comply with the language requirements.

If documents are not in English, Dutch, French or German, or in Spanish (only if you are applying for the Máster en Estudios Ibéricos e Iberoamericanos), please arrange for these documents to be translated by a registered translator.
Initial master's programmes will require a previous Bachelor's degree in the same field of study or, where indicated by the specific programme, in a related field of study. Candidates applying for admission should also consult the academic prerequisites for details.
