Lycum of the Philippines University (LPU) College of Law was one of the first two colleges of LPU when it opened in 1952. It was founded by Jose P. Laurel and he envisions an "academy for the ascertainment of truth: the ultimate object of intellectual exertion...for the search and promulgation of truth as an imperative and moral obligation". The College of Law was initially located in Inatramuros but is now located in Makati, three blocks away from Ayala Avenue. LPU College of Law is recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) and the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA).
