Northeastern College (NC), formerly
Northeastern College Insitute, is a private educational institution in
Santiago City, Isabela. It was established in 1941 and was
the first institution to offer a secondary education program in Isabela. Within three years of being re-established after the Second World War, the institute opened its college department, with courses in Education, Commerce, and Arts. With the bachelor's program in education, the school also opened an elementary department as an avenue for the training of the education students.
At present, the Northeastern College caters to students from the preschool level to the graduate level. Senior High School (SHS) students can take their course of interest from selected
Academic and
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood strands. NC has eight college units offering undergraduate programs in
Allied Health Science, Criminology, Engineering, Information Technology, Teacher Education, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Accountancy, and
Liberal Arts. For college graduates who wish to pursue further studies, the institution has programs under the
College of Law and the
Graduate Studies department.
