Requirements

  • Applicants for Advanced Studies should pass the OU Entrance Examination and the interview. The following should be submitted to the PUP Open University Registrar:
  • Application for admission with two passport size ID picture;
  • Transcript of Records of highest degree earned from the school last attended (1 original and 2 photocopies);
  • Letter of Recommendation (from the school last attended or from applicant’s immediate supervisor;
  • Certificate of Employment or Service Record
  • Photocopy of marriage contract (for married female applicant) with Registry Number

Undergraduate

Requirements

The Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship and Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communication distance education programs are designed for those who have completed at least two years of collegiate studies in universities or colleges duly recognized and authorized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) of the Philippines. A prospective enrollee who will not meet the two year collegiate study requirement may be admitted on the following conditions:
  • Those with only one and a half years or 3 semesters of collegiate study must have two years of related work experience.
  • Those with only a year of collegiate study must have three years of related work experience.
  • Those with half year or no collegiate study must qualify in a College Entrance Test.
  • Those with a post secondary vocational/technical course must have five years of related work experience and must qualify in a College Entrance Test.

Polytechnic University of the Philippines Open University (PUP - OU) is a public distance education unit in Manila founded in 1990. It is part of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) system. It was established to cater to the needs of the economically disadvantaged students as well as professionals who want to pursue certain courses but are unable to do so due to various constraints.

Currently, the said educational institution offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of Communication, Business, Education, Information Technology, Administration, and Engineering.
