It provides knowledge to students on the foundations of food technology associated with raw food materials, production management, and food science. Students will also learn how to create food products, ingredients, and use processing equipment. This program is not a culinary course but students will learn basic cooking and food preparation.

Graduates of this program will most likely have careers as a Food Technologist, Food Technician, Food Inspector, Safety Food Controller, and the like.
